Open top shipping containers are shipping containers with an open top, basically what the name says they are. These are ideal when the need to load containers from the top is required. This is also why these containers are sometimes referred to as ‘crane loaded shipping containers’. The open top is often covered by a tarp to ensure the contents remain in place when needed.
Hard top shipping containers have a hard top just like standard cargo containers, but the top is easily removed for top load/crane loading of cargo and replaced for secure transfer of cargo.
